We love to hear and share your success
stories. Our patients are our inspiration.
My name is Tori and I have struggled with my weight ever since I was a teenager. On average, I was about 70-80 pounds above the ideal weight of a 5’2” woman and was unhappy with my body appearance and health. I became determined to lose this extra weight and tried what seems like every diet plan and pill. Though I had experienced some success, I would always ended up gaining all the weight back and sometimes more. The members of my family were in a similar situation but chose to take a different route to lose the weight. My youngest sister Nora had gastric bypass surgery in May of 2005 followed by my other sister Kim in January 2007, my mother Kathleen in April 2007, and my father Nelson in June 2013. These family members all turned to Dr. Rachel Moore for these surgeries and had experienced great success.
I was the only one in my family that did not have this weight loss surgery, but after continuous struggles with my weight, I decided to give it a shot. In April of 2015 I had the gastric sleeve done, and now over seven months post-operation I have never felt better. I started at 177 pounds and have already lost 35 pounds to date.
These surgeries by Dr. Moore have changed my life and the lives of my entire family for the better.

I'm 5 years out from my surgery and have never looked back. My only regret was that I didn't have the surgery sooner.
