Spend time with people who will help you deal with new challenges and feelings, cheer you on as you reach each weight loss goal, support your new eating habits, encourage you, exercise with you – and most of all, celebrate your achievements. Beyond supportive family members, friends, and coworkers, it’s also a good idea to connect with people who have had metabolic and bariatric surgery. Support groups are also a fantastic opportunity to share in the experiences of patients like you.

And others find themselves dealing with jealousy or sabotage from family or friends. These are just some of the reasons why it’s so important to have a trusted group of people around you to support you to help you reach your goals.
